Penn Battle Spin Reel III HS

Brand new to the Penn stable of reels is the Battle III High Speed (HS) series– a high speed addition to the upgraded Battle III series.

At first glance, you will see it’s had a facelift from the previous model giving you a striking new look that is aggressive, powerful and dressed ready for battle.

The Battle III HS series has three sizes, 4000, 6000 and 8000 size. The high speed Battle III are in the mid- to large-size range meaning anglers fishing for pelagic fish such as salmon and tailor, or mackerel and wahoo will have a reel that is tough enough to handle the pressure and fast enough to keep up with the fish!

A full metal body, including metal rotor and side plate, provide the strength that the Battle III HS’s reputation is built on. The full metal body, side plate, and rotor add incredible strength and rigidity to the Battle, without compromising the lightweight feel.

Penn’s HT-100 drag takes it to the next level! The HT-100 drag washers offer up to twenty per cent more drag pressure than standard drag washers, giving anglers all the stopping power they need for the biggest of fish – a feature anglers who are familiar with the Battle series appreciate every use.

Shielded stainless steel ball bearings keep the garbage out and the lube in, ensuring your Battle III operates at its peak performance throughout its working life. The instant anti-reverse bearing means there’ll be no back play when you set the hooks and the fight can get started.

The porting on the spool gives the Battle III HS a sleek look while reducing weight and allowing air to flow through the spool when you’ve hooked another line burning Spanish Mackerel or dour GT.

Designed in distinctive black and red colouration to easily identify it from the Battle III, the Battle III HS has a focus is on endurance and stability, yet nothing’s lost in precise operation.
