Smooth action, casts a mile and the drag is excellent

I purchased the rod to take travelling with me. It is light , compact , strong and flexible. It will be coming to Vietnam with me next year

Great lure in variety colours at low cost to attract bream flatty and jewies. Managed nice 35cm bream off the beach at tweed afyer picking our some in xmas colour paddletail and then got selection mailed for next south coast trip.

This is a handy little splash bag and is quite durable. It is great to have this to be able to not have to take out my full soft plastics bag. I can select a few packets, add some leader, pliers and jig heads and head out with confidence.

Hi everyone Gary Howard 12’Swallowtail rod arrived in perfect condition it is now my favourite rod for bream,flathead for surf and land based estuary.I even tried Ludric fishing and it worked a treat using 5” Alvey great all round rod highly recommend.

I bought rod bucket because I used to rest rod on hip but at 72 hips are bit tired when I used bucket everything is good first time out caught 10 bream with no pain highly recommend great product.Cheers Gordon.

High everyone I use the Berkley Vanish mainline on my black fish setup for light fishing 8lb main and 8 or 6lb leader depending what’s going on mainly estuary and break wall you can hardly see line in water this is my first time using berkley and I love it will buy it again.My setup is 9’Gary Howard estuary rod with a 2500 Penn spin and I use this setup for Bream as well very happy I need to get more gear so i will be talking soon cheers fellas,

What a great product for ease of use, quality materials and very competitive price. Will definitely be buying again.

Can't really make a comparison as this is my first baitcaster. But for a beginner, I had mates tell me baitcasters are a pain and I shouldn't get one, but I love this one!
After getting past the mess of my first cast Birdsnest, this reel is really easy to get used to. Super smooth action reeling in, it glides. And the thumb release for casting is super easy to engage and keep thumbing the spool.

Will probably be looking at getting another of these, but maybe a lighter rig...
