Addict Tackle is built on decades of fishing experience, passion, and friendship between Mark Berg and Rodney Kalil — two highly respected anglers whose different fishing specialties have helped shape the business into one of Australia’s most trusted tackle destinations.
Mark Berg
Mark Berg has spent more than 30 years chasing fish across Australia’s offshore and blue water fisheries.
His passion for fishing began at a young age and evolved into a lifelong career centred around targeting powerful pelagic and reef species including MARLIN, TUNA, MAHI MAHI, SPANISH MACKEREL, KINGFISH, SNAPPER, and a wide range of REEF FISH. Mark is also widely recognised as the host of the long-running Australian fishing television series Fishing Addiction, which has been entertaining and educating anglers for over 15 years.
Through both the show and his extensive time on the water, Mark has built a strong reputation for his knowledge of offshore fishing techniques, heavy tackle systems, trolling, jigging, and live bait fishing.
Rodney Kalil
Rodney Kalil has also dedicated more than 30 years to fishing, specialising in sportfishing, estuary, and inshore lure fishing.
His passion for technical fishing styles and tackle innovation has seen him spend decades targeting species such as FLATHEAD, BREAM, MULLOWAY, MANGROVE JACK, TAILOR, TREVALLY, and AUSTRALIAN BASS.
Rodney is highly regarded for his expertise in lure fishing, finesse techniques, and understanding of modern tackle systems, helping anglers maximise their success on the water.
