The Battle III series ranges from 2500 to 8000 size. This allows anglers fishing small streams for trout, bass and bream to be equally comfortable with their reel as an angler heading offshore to battle GT, coral trout and mackerel!

A full metal body, including metal rotor and side plate, provide the strength that the Battle III’s reputation is built on. The full metal body, side plate, and rotor add incredible strength and rigidity to the Battle, without compromising the lightweight feel.

Penn’s HT-100 drag takes it to the next level! The HT-100 drag washers offer up to twenty per cent more drag pressure than standard drag washers, giving anglers all the stopping power they need for the biggest of fish – a feature anglers who are familiar with the Battle series appreciate every use.

Shielded stainless steel ball bearings keep the garbage out and the lube in, ensuring your Battle III operates at its peak performance throughout its working life. The instant anti-reverse bearing means there’ll be no back play when you set the hooks and the fight can get started.

The porting on the spool gives the Battle III a sleek look while reducing weight and allowing air to flow through the spool when you’ve hooked another line burning Spanish mackerel or dour GT.
