Designed in Australia the Splash Prawn is made to imitate a prawn skipping across the top of the water. Its unique tail design creates a large splash on a slim body profile. Fished slow or fast this versatile lure will catch a wide range of species including whiting, bream, trevally, flathead, mangrove jack, tailor, giant herring, queenfish, kingfish and many more.
I purchased the banana bender coloured 70mm splash prawn and have used it once so far. It is a slender design with super sharp hooks. It cast really well, and can be fished with a variety of retrieves. I came across a surface bite in the lower reaches of the Clarence River and got a hold of a nice Trevalley.
I love the colour design and gleams through the water imitating a real prawn. Some more colour designs of the splash prawn is on my wish list to purchase and test out.
