The Okuma Safyre Spinning Reel delivers a strong combination of smooth operation, reliable gearing and durable construction for freshwater and inshore saltwater fishing. Available in sizes from 1000 to 5000, with high-speed options available in selected sizes, the Safyre is designed to suit a wide range of Australian fishing applications.

At the core of the Safyre is Okuma's oversized HDG+ High-Density Gearing, combined with a precision machine-cut brass pinion gear to deliver increased torque, strength and durability. The Flite Drive system and GSS Gear Stabilizing System provide additional support to the pinion gear, helping create a smooth, stable and wobble-free retrieve.

A multi-disc Carbonite drag system provides consistent drag pressure when fighting fish, while the 7BB + 1RB stainless-steel bearing system delivers smooth operation with increased corrosion resistance. Hydro Block II technology helps protect the drag and pinion gear from water intrusion, while Okuma's CFR Cyclonic Flow Rotor improves airflow around the rotor to reduce moisture retention and assist with reel longevity.

The Safyre features a rigid machined aluminium screw-in handle that connects directly into the reel body for a solid retrieve. A two-tone anodized aluminium spool provides durability and a premium finish, while the EFR-II Even Flow Roller with DLC coating helps deliver smooth line management.
